This easy-to-navigate database can link to external lexicons and is effective for building pick lists. The database demonstrates sound vocabulary practices: each concept has a single meaning, synonyms are allowed, concept meanings do not change over time, identifiers or codes are random, numbers are meaningless and medical conditions have polyhierarchical relationships.
